Ho Young Lee - TIAA

Ho Young Lee is a managing director and portfolio manager for the TIAA organization. Mr. Lee is responsible for the management of the Private Placements debt and Energy and Infrastructure portfolios.

He joined the TIAA organization in 1992 and had held several roles, including: private placement originations, private equity portfolio management, portfolio research, workouts and distressed debt, where he participated in several high profile cross border restructurings, and International Public & Private Bonds.

Mr. Lee holds a B.S. in finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business and an M.B.A. in accounting from St. John’s University.

KARL RUMPF, Calgary, Alberta – President and Director

Mr. Rumpf has been President of Polar Star since March 1, 2012. He is a Professional Geologist with 20 years of experience in exploration in Western Canada. Mr. Rumpf was most recently Corporate Operating Officer, West and New Ventures at Perpetual Energy Inc. Prior to Perpetual, Mr. Rumpf was Vice-President Exploration at Profound Energy Inc. and Manager, Exploration at Find Energy Inc. Previous experience includes Canadian Hunter Exploration and Chevron Canada. Mr. Rumpf obtained his Bachelor of Science (Geology) with Honours from the University of Alberta in 1994 and his Masters of Science in Earth Sciences from the University of Waterloo in 1997. Mr. Rumpf is a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors, Rotman School of Business.
