LISA FERRARO, New York, New York – Chief Executive Officer & Director

Ms. Ferraro has been the Chief Executive Officer of Polar Star since inception in April, 2009. She is also Managing Director, Global Private Markets at TIAA. Ms. Ferraro is head of the energy & infrastructure portfolio management and oversees the organization's portfolio of equity and infrastructure assets. She has 28 years of investment experience. Previously she was a vice president at Prudential Capital where she covered utilities, project finance and energy companies in the eastern and western region of the U.S.Ms. Ferraro holds a B.S. in economics with a concentration in marketing and entrepreneurial management from Wharton, University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in finance from New York University.

MARIETTA MOSHIASHVILLI, New York, New York – Director

Ms. Moshiashvili is Managing Director, Global Private Markets for TIAA where she is responsible origination and portfolio management activities associated with direct private equity energy and infrastructure investments. She has over 22 years of experience including positions at Toronto-Dominion Bank and Credit Suisse in their energy/project finance divisions. Ms. Moshiashvili holds a BS (cum laude) in economics and international finance from New York University where she was a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, an international economics honor society.

BARRY BORAK, Boston, Massachusetts – Director

Mr. Borak is a Director in Global Private Markets at TIAA.

KARL RUMPF, Calgary, Alberta – President and Director

Mr. Rumpf has been President of Polar Star since March 1, 2012. He is a Professional Geologist with 20 years of experience in exploration in Western Canada. Mr. Rumpf was most recently Corporate Operating Officer, West and New Ventures at Perpetual Energy Inc. Prior to Perpetual, Mr. Rumpf was Vice-President Exploration at Profound Energy Inc. and Manager, Exploration at Find Energy Inc. Previous experience includes Canadian Hunter Exploration and Chevron Canada. Mr. Rumpf obtained his Bachelor of Science (Geology) with Honours from the University of Alberta in 1994 and his Masters of Science in Earth Sciences from the University of Waterloo in 1997. Mr. Rumpf is a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors, Rotman School of Business.
